Once the farmer was able to get the corn out of the field last in the fall we were finally able to get in and start to remove some of the old hay out of the barn. Originally the roofer had someone who was going to come in and take all of the bad hay out in exchange for being able to keep any good hay. He took the good hay, left the rest.
So, here's a picture of the area we've started to clean.
It took some effort with a broom, shovel and hay fork.
Hauling it in the trailer on cold days.
Dumping the hay into a compost pile.
Finished Result, a pretty good size indoor basketball court.
