Lady Killer and I went out to the farm today to till the garden and plant some potato plants.  We left bright and early, hit the farm to get the trailer and then drove on into Lawrence.  First time renting from Sunflower rentals, but I'm glad I did.  When talking to one of the guys, he suggested that for the size of the garden, I may want to look at a "Dingo"....  I had no idea what it was, but went out to take a look.  After looking at it, I decided it would be better than a tiller for the first pass, though I may need a tiller later in the year for upkeep, etc.  Here's a "Dingo" after I've unloaded it from the trailer and getting it to the garden, it's like this:

After tilling, Lady Killer and I got ready to plant some potatoes.

Last thing was to cover with a new garden hoe with a socket connection.

Cleaning out the barn

Once the farmer was able to get the corn out of the field last in the fall we were finally able to get in and start to remove some of the old hay out of the barn.  Originally the roofer had someone who was going to come in and take all of the bad hay out in exchange for being able to keep any good hay.  He took the good hay, left the rest.

So, here's a picture of the area we've started to clean.

It took some effort with a broom, shovel and hay fork.
