Today being my last day off before I go back to work, I decided to take some of the kids to the farm to gather a soil sample. With corn not yet knee high, it was a good time to get out there and gather up some dirt from about 20 different spots mostly around where we want the orchard to be. The kids did great in the barn and we brought along a broom to let them start cleaning it up a little bit. The barn is in very bad shape, but I do believe it is fixable, though we may name it the money pit because there is a lot of things we could do to work on it.
Congratulations!!!! I love your posts, the children look so happy and John, farming suits you well! It looks so beautiful and I am happy that you have found a homestead. God has answered your prayers, thanks be to God.
